The Lighthouse, Christian Recovery Home
Christian Transitional Living Program & Addiction Recovery Home for Alcoholics & Addicts
Established in 2003, The Lighthouse , located in Greenwood, South Carolina, provides residents a faith-based Christian transitional living home and 12-step addiction recovery program for alcoholics and drug addicts. Our Christ-centered eight-month transitional living recovery program allows an individual to incorporate their learned program tools into a plan of recovery. Our structured environment at The Lighthouse facilitates an un-interrupted and continued treatment plan.
Residents are assisted throughout The Lighthouse program with the goal of a successful and smooth transition and reintegration into the community as a productive citizen. Recovery applications are available to applicants with twenty-eight (28) days of sobriety verified by an approved rehabilitation center or clergy, program sponsor, legal adviser or officer of the court. However, all applicants will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Applicants not meeting admission requirements will be placed on a call-in status.
2 Corinthians 12:9
The Lighthouse’ eight-month transitional living program is guided by and incorporates throughout our program the Christian teachings of Jesus Christ and requires each resident to attend church and actively participate in the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous and / or Narcotics Anonymous. Through our structured and safe environment, residents can comfortably grow and begin to experience the freedom from the bondage of addiction. Residents are provided with modern accommodations and a favorable job market. Recovery meetings, restaurants, jobs, and churches are within walking distance.
The Lighthouse is well established with a heritage of success and deep relationships throughout the recovery community, local and state agencies, and community partnerships with local businesses and employment agencies. Our residents are extremely successful in obtaining employment. Community, societal and life reintegration requires the ability to balance work, recovery, relationships and financial responsibility. The Lighthouse is a transitional living program bridge between an inpatient program and living a life free of alcohol and drugs.
